I know I've been quite absent from the blog recently but I am slowly getting back into things as there continues to be a demand for long-form content (aka blog posts), from readers and brands alike. So today I wanted to share some swatches and my review of the brand-new
Dior Forever Glow Luminizer (C$70 for 6 g) from
Dior. An update of the previous iteration, the new Dior Forever Glow Luminizer offers a more concentrated formulation packed with pearlescent micro-pigments in a clear gel base that seamlessly blends into the skin, creating the most natural and flattering sheen. To read more, click......
Packaging:
The new Dior Forever Glow Luminizer comes in a silver round compact with a very unique and luxurious design. The lid is covered with a shiny metallic patent faux leather, reminiscent of a winter puffer jacket. The material is stitched with the iconic Dior cannage pattern, topped with the beautiful "CD" logo. The compact has a nice mirror and the powder is pressed with the same cannage pattern.
Formulation:The new lineup offers seven shades in total, divided into three different finishes: Halo, Strobe, and Sequin. The Halo finishes offer a subtle shimmer, the Strobe finishes provide a duo chrome sheen, and the Sequin finishes have a mega sparkly shine. Formulated with hyaluronic acid for hydration, the Dior Forever Glow Luminizers are lightweight and silky smooth. It blends evenly and builds easily for a more intense sheen. I have a breakdown of a few shades below.
02 Gold Halo: This is a flattering and easy-to-wear warm champagne packed with fine shimmer particles.
04 Pink Strobe: This is a lovely soft petal pink with a subtle golden sheen. I think the pink is strong enough that the shade can be used as a shimmery blush.
05 Blue Strobe: This is a pearlescent shimmer with an icy blue sheen. The blue duochrome is quite noticeable so I think the shade will not be everyone's cup of tea, especially for those with warmer skin tones.
06 Opal Sequin: Packed with super-fine iridescent glitter particles, this shade is pure sparkle in the best way. If you love your highlighter to be more sparkly than shimmery, then this is the perfect shade for you.
07 Copper Sequin: Last but not least, we have this bronzy copper shade. It is a combination of subtle shimmers and sparkly glitter particles. The formulation feels a touch chunkier than the others and because of its strong base color, I think it will suit those with darker and warmer skin tones.
Overall, the Dior Forever Glow Luminizer is a lovely addition to the luxury highlighter lineup. The packaging is A+ and the shade range offers a nice variety of finishes that cater to different preferences. I like my highlighters more shimmery than sparkly so my favorite shades are "02 Gold Halo" and "04 Pink Strobe".
