As you may already know, beauty content creation has always been a passion of mine. Admittedly, I've dialled back on blogging in the past year as I've been concentrating more on short-form video content over at Instagram and TikTok (although I've yet to find my footing). However, content creation is not my full-time career as I’ve been working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the mental health field for the past 7 years. While I found great fulfillment in helping others as an RN, I often felt limited by the constraints of the healthcare system. Therefore, for the past few years, I’ve embarked on the journey of obtaining a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) so I can help people in a deeper, more meaningful way.
I am excited to share that I’ve officially launched my counselling practice, and it’s been an exhilarating yet daunting experience. My practice specializes in helping women navigate depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, body image concerns, relationship and work stressors, and career burnout—especially for those in the healthcare field. As a Chinese-Canadian, I am also particularly attuned to the unique challenges faced by immigrants and their families, such as multicultural issues, cultural identity struggles, intergenerational differences, and acculturation stress.
