Packaging:The Dior Forever Glow Star Filter comes in a beautiful glass bottle topped with a pump dispenser. The packaging is almost identical to that of the Dior Forever foundations (reviewed
here and
here); it feels sturdy and luxurious.
Formulation:
Described as a skincare and makeup hybrid, the Forever Glow Star Filter is a lightweight all-over liquid highlighter packed with subtle, luminous shimmer particles that provide a natural glowy finish. With a light floral fragrance, the formulation is very smooth and easy to blend. It can be used alone over skincare, mixed with a moisturizer or foundation, or blended on top of foundation. Personally, I like mixing it with my SPF as the last step of my skincare. The Forever Glow Star Filter is buildable so depending on how much glow you want, you can easily customize it by using a little or a lot. There are no chunky glitters and the shimmers are fairly subtle. Although not heavy or greasy, the product does add a bit of shine so I definitely needed to blot a bit to maintain a non-shiny T-Zone.
Here I have swatched two of the lightest shades. "0" is a very pale champagne and "1" is a light champagne. The swatches show the shades slightly blended versus very blended. As you can see, once very blended, the Forever Glow Star Filter is super subtle, providing only a natural glow. Overall, this is a really lovely all-over highlighter. If you want a boost of glow for your skin or makeup, definitely check this out!
