L'Oréal Professionnel | Absolut Repair Molecular Collection |
This is a sulfate-free shampoo formulated with a combination of peptides and amino acids designed to repair damaged hair. The formulation has a light, gel consistency that lathers nicely, leaving the hair feeling clean but not stripped. The shampoo is scented with notes of bergamot, mandarin, mimosa, freesia, peony, and musk. The fragrance is lovely but fairly strong, lingering all day. If you are sensitive to fragrances, you likely will not enjoy this collection. Personally, I love nicely scented hair care because it basically doubles as a light perfume as well.

L'Oréal Professionnel | Absolut Repair Molecular Professional Rinse-Off Serum & Shampoo |
Similar to a conditioner, the Absolut Repair Molecular Professional Rise-Off serum is intended to be used after shampooing. With a very runny, liquid consistency, the serum is also formulated with the patented Peptide Bonder (2%) and five amino acids. It instantly makes the hair silky smooth without leaving any greasy, heavy residue. This is definitely a unique take on the traditional hair conditioner. I quite like the innovation but also find the runny consistency a bit difficult to work with. It feels like I need at least three to four pumps to properly coat my hair so I question how long one bottle will last me compared to a regular cream-based conditioner.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Glycine, Citric Acid, Parfum/Fragrance, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Cetrimonium Chloride, Polysorbate 20, Polysorbate 80, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Glutamic Acid, Quaternium-80, Arginine, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Serine, Linalool, Tyrosine.
L'Oréal Professionnel | Absolut Repair Molecular Professional Leave-In Mask |
A leave-in conditioner intended to nourish the hair and protect it from heat treatment, the Absolut Repair Molecular Professional Leave-In Mask has a light cream consistency that quickly absorbs into the hair. When paired with the Absolut Repair Molecular shampoo and rinse-off serum, the mask indeed makes my hair feel thicker and stronger. The formulation is not greasy and it doesn't weigh down the hair. Overall, I'm quite impressed with this entire collection. I would definitely consider purchasing these products if there is a sale as the price is quite steep given the salon-grade formulation.
