Although I have combination skin and have long fought to keep my shine at bay, I have come to embrace the glowy, dewy complexion that's been trendy for a few years now. Therefore, I was on a hunt for a glowy primer that I could use over my moisturizer and found the

Packaged in a hard plastic squeeze tube, the Heimish Artless Glow Base is described as a glowy makeup base that can be used as a primer before makeup application or simply on its own after skincare application, With a subtle floral scent, the Heimish Artless Glow Base has a light, creamy consistency. The formulation contains a sprinkling of fine mica dust that gives the skin a subtle glowing effect, in addition to a slightly dewy finish. The product also contains extracts of dog rose, thyme, marjoram, and peppermint for some skincare benefits. Impressively, the formulation provides a SPF 50 PA++++ sun protection so I think it's fair to also describe this as a hydrating sunscreen that does not leave behind a white cast. As I don't wear any makeup nowadays, I've only worn the Artless Glow Base on its own, so I can't speak to how well it performs as a primer. As the day went on, it did make my skin look a bit shinier than I would have liked but overall, I quite like the product as it does provide a subtle glow and the SPF coverage is a phenomenal bonus. With that said, I think the product probably works best for normal to dry skin as those with oily, combination skin will probably not enjoy the added shine.
