The Herbivore Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask comes in a glass jar and although the design feels luxurious and substantial, it's not very sanitary or practical. Because the formulation is rather runny, I really have to dip my finger into the jar to get a nice amount. I ended up just pouring a little bit directly from the jar so a pump or squeeze bottle would have been much better. Despite its name, the Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask's main ingredients are aloe juice, glycerin, papaya extract, pineapple extract, and willow bark extract for some gentle hydration and exfoliation.
Aside from the runny consistency, the mask has a strong herbal scent and a stunning deep teal color thanks to the blue tansy flower oil. The formulation feels instantly soothing and cooling but not stingy. The mask washes off pretty easily with warm water but I did notice that it leaves behind a very subtle blue tint on the face so I would recommend rinsing with a face cloth or using a toner pad to properly remove every trace of the mask. Overall, this is actually a pretty soothing, non-irritating mask. It's definitely not as exfoliating as some of the stronger AHA/BHA masks I've tried, making it rather perfect for those with sensitive skin looking for a gentle clarifying mask.
