When I was browsing through the bestselling Korean toners online, I kept on seeing the Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner for Sensitive Skin (C$17.59 for 150 ml or C$29.99 for 300 ml) from Haruharu Wonder ("haruharu" means everyday in Korean). The Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner For Sensitive Skin is packaged in a simple plastic bottle. I like that unlike most other plastic bottles for toners, the plastic material here has a little give so when dispensing the toner I can just squeeze the bottle slightly instead of shaking it. With no discernable scent, the toner has a slightly viscous consistency. I would actually describe the Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner as more of an essence. If you prefer, you can probably even apply it directly without using a cotton pad.

Formulated with rice ferment, bamboo extract, hyaluronic acid, and various other botanical extracts, the Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner is designed to boost hydration, elasticity, and the absorption of other skincare products. The formulation contains no alcohol and it spreads easily on the skin, providing instant hydration. There is no discernable residue and the formulation is not irritating or drying. With that said, other than providing a bit of hydration, I'm not sure if the Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner offers much else. I would say that it is comparable to the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner, another very popular Korean toner. Although the Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner has a thicker consistency, it provides a similar level of gentle hydration as the Round Lab toner. All in all, this is a good everyday toner if you are looking for something mild and hydrating but it's not a game-changer.
