Packaging:Dior Le Baume comes in a circular, flattened plastic bottle very reminiscent of the egg-shaped Chanel Le Crème Main (reviewed
here). The bottle has a flip cap for easy application on the go but the round shape feels a bit awkward to maneuver and squeeze as compared to regularly shaped tubes. I also notice that the entire cap screws off completely, which makes me wonder if Dior will offer refills so the packaging can be reused.
With no noticeable scent, Dior Le Baum is formulated with shea butter, jojoba oil, Centall Asiatica (Cica) extract, and hyaluronic acid. Although described as a balm, Le Baume has more of a rich cream consistency that's not sticky or oily. The formulation spreads easily on the skin and leaves behind a slightly dewy finish that will eventually sink into the skin. Personally, I don't think the formulation is thick enough for the lips but it works well for the hands, body, and even the face. The C$75 price tag is definitely hefty so Le Baume is not something I would recommend to the average consumer. However, if you are in the tax bracket for luxury skincare, then Le Baume is probably the perfect hand cream for your favorite Dior bag.
