Designed to deeply hydrate the skin with a duo of low- and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acids, the
Hydra-Essentiel Light Cream and the
Hydra-Essentiel Night Cream are perfect everyday moisturizers. To read about both, click......
Clarins | Hydra-Essentiel Light Cream (C$49 for 50 ml):Designed for all skin types, this is a lightweight face cream formulated with hyaluronic acid and various botanical extracts. The Hydra-Essentiel Light Cream has a soft gel-cream texture with a refreshing floral scent. It spreads easily onto the skin and sinks quickly, leaving no heavy or icky residue behind. Additionally, the formulation is alcohol-free and silicone-free. There's nothing negative to be said about this moisturizer. It's not revolutionary by any means but it absolutely gets the job done. If you are looking for an everyday facial moisturizer, I definitely recommend giving it a go.
Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Betaine, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Pentylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tapioca Starch, Sodium Polyacrylate, Parfum/Fragrance, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Disodium EDTA, Inulin Lauryl Carbamate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Kalanchoe Pinnata Leaf Extract, Marrubium Vulgare Extract, Citric Acid, Phenethyl Alcohol, Furcellaria Lumbricalis Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Lapsana Communis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Maris Sal/Sea Salt/Sel Marin.Clarins | Hydra-Essentiel Night Cream (C$53 for 50 ml):For a slightly more nourishing version of the Hydra-Essentiel Light Cream, the Hydra-Essentiel Night Cream contains the same hydrating ingredients but with an added dose of shea butter and squalane. The formulation has a thicker consistency, providing deeper hydration and conditioning for the nighttime. Nevertheless, the cream is not greasy and the light floral scent remains the same. Of note, this night cream does contain silicone, which I find completely unnecessary. However, the silicone is lower down on the ingredient list so its drawbacks are not as pronounced. Overall, this is a really nice night cream; it's deeply nourishing without being too heavy, perfect for all skin types.
