La Roche-Posay promoting sun health and was introduced to their newest release. As someone with combination skin, I'm very picky when it comes to sunscreens. Therefore, I am not very consistent with sunscreen use and instead, opt for just wearing a hat or avoiding the sun altogether. Nevertheless, I am always on the lookout for a new sunscreen that I would use on a daily basis. Historically, my go-to has been the
Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen. However, in recent years, I've been testing out some other options as the Biore one is not always readily available where I live. Therefore, I was very excited about the La Roche-Posay
Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream SPF 50+ (C$54.95 for 50 ml), which is described as a "new generation of daily skincare" that offers both skincare benefits and ample sun protection. To read all about it and read my thoughts on the formulation, click......

La Roche-Posay | Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream SPF 50+ |
Packaged in a simple plastic airless pump bottle, the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream is an SPF 50+ face cream that offers both UVB and UVA protection. Formulated with chemical sunscreen ingredients enhanced with hyaluronic acid (for hydration), niacinamide (for oil control), and PH resorcinol (for brightening), the Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream has a thicker cream texture with almost no smell. Upon initial application, the formulation felt greasy and heavy and I was worried that it was just like every other run-of-the-mill sunscreen that promises a light, invisible finish but in fact feels and looks oily.

La Roche-Posay | Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream SPF 50+ |
Miraculously, this feeling disappears very quickly, leaving behind almost no palpable finish or heavy feeling. There's so slick, silicone-y touch and no notable pilling or patching although I've not used this with makeup*. The formulation is not drying but also not particularly nourishing or hydrating. Therefore, I feel that if you have dry skin, the Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream should probably be paired with another cream underneath. However, I'm not sure if that interferes with the sun-protecting properties of the cream. Overall, I'm really impressed with the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream. In my opinion, the texture and finish are even better than the famed Anthelios Ultra-Fluid Face Sunscreen Lotion. However, the price is also higher. If you are looking for a non-greasy face sunscreen without a heavy silicone-y finish, definitely give this a try!

*Update*: I've been wearing this sunscreen for a few more days now while engaging in more physical activity such as running errands and hiking. I've noticed that with sweating, there's a noticeable pilling of the sunscreen. Therefore, this is probably not a great face sunscreen for sports or very hot climates.
