Lush | *NEW* Happy Skin Facial Exfoliator, Bright and Beautiful Facial Scrub, Co-Mingle Body Scrub & Sticky Dates Shower Gel: Review
As you can probably imagine, I don't purchase a whole lot of beauty products out of pocket since I receive plenty of media samples to sustain my needs. However, Lush is one of the few brands I still regularly shop from simply because I love their products. Especially since the pandemic, I've been making a real effort to attend to my self care so I always have some Lush bath products on hand. Recently, Lush released a handful of new products and the brand kindly send them over for me to test out. So without further ado, here is my review of the new Happy Skin Enzymic Facial Exfoliator (C$23 for 100g), Bright and Beautiful Vitamin C Exfoliating Facial Scrub (C$25 for 100g)Co-Mingle Body Scrub (C$25 for 225g), and Sticky Dates Shower Gel (C$11.50 for 100 ml)......

Lush | Happy Skin Enzymic Facial Exfoliator (C$23 for 100g):
Packaged in the iconic recyclable black plastic tub from Lush, Happy Skin is gentle face scrub formulated with a combination of bamboo powder and tagua nut powder. Containing fresh pineapple juice, jackfruit juice, and argan oil, Happy Skin also brightens and nourishes the skin. With the most sweet and intoxicating scent of tonka beans and vanilla, this face scrub has a light paste consistency packed with an even scattering of fine exfoliating particles. The formulation does not feel super abrasive but it it still leaves the skin feeling baby soft. It washes off easily so there is no greasy or slippery residue. Overall, this is an absolutely amazing face scrub that not only removes dead skin cells and dry patches but also moisturizes and nourishes the skin at the same time. If you are a fan of face scrubs, then Happy Skin is a no-brainer must-try!

Lush | Bright and Beautiful Vitamin C Exfoliating Facial Scrub (C$25 for 100g):
Formulated with sunflower oil, vitamin C powder, and rapeseed oil, Bright and Beautiful is a brightening face scrub intended for use on either dry or wet skin. With a floral scent and a balmy texture that applies very smoothly, Bright and Beautiful has a dark purple tint thanks to the charcoal powder it contains. The formulation is not super scrubby but is very stingy due to the concentrated vitamin C powder. I would not describe it as a pleasant experience but the sensation is tolerable. With that said, I would not recommend this to those with sensitive skin. Because of its oil-based formulation, Bright and Beautiful leaves behind a slight residue although its not bothersome enough that I feel the need to use a cleanser afterwards. Personally, I feel that Bright and Beautiful is not so much of a face scrub as it is a brightening cleansing balm with some scrubbing action. It definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth but I'd rather have a dedicated face scrub and a dedicated cleansing balm. So all in all, while this is not a bad product, it's not quite a hit either.

Lush | Co-Mingle Body Scrub (C$25 for 225g):
Lush is definitely on a roll with all these new scrubs! Described as a "three-in-one body scrub, exfoliator, and moisturizer", Co-Mingle contains the same scrubbing particles (bamboo powder and tagua nut powder) as the Happy Skin Facial Exfoliator for a gentle exfoliation. Also made with calming cypress leaf infusion, almond oil, brazil nut oil, and shea butter, Co-Mingle has a light whipped cream consistency and a soft whiff of lavender. The scrub provides a tiny bit of lather and it washes off nicely with no icky residue. Personally, I prefer a very dense body scrub packed with sugar or salt particles so the Co-Mingle formulation is a bit too sparse and gentle for me. However, the scrub is very softening and nourishing, making my legs and arms so incredibly soft after use. To be honest, I am a bit torn about this product because while I enjoy using it, the amount I need to to achieve a thorough, full body exfoliation is exorbitant. Given that each tub of Co-Mingle costs $25 and contains 225g, it will probably only last me five or six uses. Therefore, I'm not sure that it's something I can afford to replenish on a regular basis. The bottom line, though, is that if you are looking for a gentle body scrub that also softens and moisturizes the skin without a greasy residue, then Co-Mingle is a great option!

Lush | Sticky Dates Shower Gel (C$11.50 for 100 ml):
Lush makes some of the best smelling shower gels around and the new Sticky Dates Shower Gel is the perfect example! Available in three sizes (I have the smallest one here), the Sticky Dates Shower Gel is made with organic date syrup, vanilla pod infusion, and fresh orange juice. With a sweet date scent that makes me want to chug it by the bottle, Sticky Dates has a syrupy liquid consistency that lathers up wonderfully to provide a thorough cleansing. The formulation leaves the skin feeling nice and soft and don't worry, there is zero sticky residue. If you are a fan of sweet gourmand scents, then this shower gel is a must-try!
