Glow Recipe fan and up until a couple of months ago, I thought I had tried (and
reviewed) just about every product the brand has released to date. Somehow, I missed out on the
Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum (C$59 for 30 ml). Released in the fall of last year, this brightening serum currently stands as one of the brand's bestsellers. To read all about it, click.....
Packaged in an adorable guava-shaped glass bottle with a pink pump dispenser, the Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum is a potent vitamin C serum containing five different forms of vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), one of which has an oil-soluble encapsulation that makes it easier to absorb. The serum is also formulated with guava fruit extract and guava seed oil rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, in addition to tranexamic acid which targets redness and dark spots.
With a yummy fruity scent and a lightweight consistency, the Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. The formulation layers beautifully with other products without pilling. It instantly provides a lightweight hydration and I've noticed a brighter, more even complexion after only a few uses. At this point, I've tried so many excellent vitamin C serums that it's honestly hard to pick a favorite. But given its beautiful packaging, clean formulation, lovely scent, and reasonable price, the Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum from Glow Recipe ranks high in my book! If you are new to vitamin C serums and are looking for a mid-range option, then this is definitely my recommendation!
