Charlotte Tilbury sees another expansion this year with the
Pillow Talk Party Collection. Just when I thought we had every Pillow Talk product imaginable, Charlotte gives us more (and I'm not complaining)! I've got reviews and swatches of everything to share with you today. To read on, click......
Charlotte Tilbury | Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter (C$50 for 7g):Packaged in a gorgeous rose gold compact with an opalescent pink lid, the Pillow Talk Multi-Glow is a powder highlighter designed to bring an alluring glow to the complexion. Pressed with a button tufting pattern often found on sofas and cushions, the highlighter powder is finely-milled and silky smooth. It blends beautifully on the skin and can be used on the cheekbones, temples, eyes, and cupid’s bow. The highlighter is available in two shades to accommodate a wide range of skin tones.
"Romance Light" consists of four shimmery shades: a pearly white, a champagne nude, a rosy peach, and a soft mauve. They blend to form a light rosy champagne color. The shimmery finish is natural and flattering but it also has a light dash of subtle pink sparkles. Personally, I prefer my highlighters sparkle-free but "Romance Light" is so pretty that I don't even mind!
A combination of warm gold, rosy bronze, copper-gold, and champagne gold, "
Dream Light" is a beautiful warm golden bronze highlighter. The shade is a touch too warm and dark for my skin but I think it would work beautifully for those with a medium to dark complexion. It's worth noting that "Dream Light" also contains pink sparkles but they are a little more camouflaged among the darker shimmery tones.
Charlotte Tilbury | Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow (C$50 for 2.5g)Available in two shades, the Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow is a multi-use cream color formulated with raspberry leaf extract and vitamin E. Packaged in a shiny rose gold compact embossed with a radiating star design, the Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow is very petite and travel-friendly. With a smooth and lightweight formulation that blends beautifully with no patching or creasing, the Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow has a light vanilla scent. The color is semi-sheer but buildable, providing a soft flush of color. Personally, I think I will only use these on the cheeks as I'm too lazy to use a lip brush but the formulation works well for both lips and cheeks. The finish is satin-matte and it lasts fairly well on the cheeks with minor fading by the end of the day.
Described as a dialed-up version of the original Pillow Talk Luxury Palette (reviewed
here), the Pillow Talk Dreams Luxury Palette features four rosy eyeshadow shades. There is a shimmery bronze with pink and pearlescent sparkles, a shimmery rose gold, a matte berry brown, and a matte dusty rose. All four shades are impeccably formulated and apply like a dream. If I had to pick, I still prefer the colors of the original Pillow Talk Luxury Palette. However, if you loved the original then you will love this "dream" version, which I also think is more suitable for those with darker skin tones.
Charlotte Tilbury | Pillow Talk Colour Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil (C$33 for 1.6g):A cream eyeshadow pencil that gives you the perfect look in seconds, Colour Chameleon in "
Pillow Talk" is a shimmery neutral pink. The formulation is pigmented and easy to blend. It sets to a non-creasing, mostly smudge-proof finish that lasts all day. The color is surprisingly natural and flattering, providing a complete eye look without the need for any other shadows or liners. My only gripe is that this is a traditional pencil that needs to be sharpened. This leads to product waste and the oversized pencil will only fit into a thick-barreled sharpener that not everyone owns.
Charlotte Tilbury | Beauty Light Wand (C$52 for 12 ml):The constantly sold out Beauty Light Wand in "Pillow Talk Original" and "Pillow Talk Medium" are brought back for Pillow Talk Party Collection. Housed in a squeezable tube topped with a flocked sponge applicator, this is a cream highlighter with a lightweight and long-lasting finish. "Pillow Talk Original" is a soft pink champagne shimmer and "Pillow Talk Medium" is a peachy bronze shimmer. Both shades are pigmented but blendable, creating a subtle radiance or an intense glow.
Below is a look I created using the Pillow Talk Colour Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil, the Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow in "Colour of Dreams", the Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter in "Romance Light", and the Superstars Lips in "Pillow Talk" (previously reviewed
here).
