Packaging:

The limited edition Gel Cream Blush from Mary Kay comes in a simple plastic squeeze tube. The tube has a flat tip with a small opening instead of a more precise nozzle applicator so things do get messy. I have to wipe the tip of the tube after each use so excess product doesn't collect around the opening and inside of the cap.

Formulation:

The Mary Kay Limited Edition Gel Cream Blush is described as a lightweight but buildable blush. With no discernable scent, the formulation differs noticeably between the four shades, despite all having the same ingredients. Simply Rosy and Blushing Pink has a creamy, silicone texture while Berry Happy and Dewy Peach have a light gel consistency. As you can see in the swatches above, the pigmentation level varies quite a bit but all four shades are fairly sheer, providing a natural flush of color that's easy to blend. I've used them over bare skin and over foundation and did not experience any patching or pilling. The blushes don't really leave much of a finish so they aren't matte or dewy. The colors are pretty long lasting with minimal transferring but they do fade naturally as the day progresses. As a die-hard powder blush fan, I'm surprised to find myself really enjoying these Mary Kay Gel Cream Blushes! If you are looking for a simple, no-fuss blush for a natural makeup look, definitely check these out before they are gone!

Simply Rosy: The most pigmented out of the four, this is a gorgeous petal pink.

Blushing Pink: This is a soft baby pink with a surprising amount of pigmentation. However, because the color is lighter, it doesn't show up as well on my skin tone.

Dewy Peach: This is a soft coral peach with a dash of warm shimmer. Unfortunately, once blended, the shimmers mostly disappear.

Berry Happy: Probably my favorite of the four, this is a warm berry pink. The color looks intimidating but the pigmentation is quite sheer so it only provides a soft wash of color.
