Packaging:

The Dior Addict Lipsticks have seen a lot of changes over the years and Dior finally introduced a refillable version this year. The Dior Addict Refillable Shine Lipstick C$49 includes the lipstick refill (3.2 g) and the classic black and silver case embossed with the Dior logo. Alternatively, the Dior Addict Shine Lipstick Refills are available for C$39, and you have the option of purchasing a Dior Addict Refillable Couture Lipstick Cases for C$35 each. Currently, there are 3 case styles available:

Pink Cannage: Faux vinyl patent leather in pink embossed with topstitching in the iconic Dior cannage pattern.

Indigo Denim: Real dark denim fabric.

Metallic Silver: Shiny silver vinyl with a mirror-like shine.

C$35 for a case is quite steep and normally I would say it's not worth the splurge. However, these Dior Addict Refillable Couture Lipstick Cases really are quite exquisite. So for those that collect makeup, these are certainly worth the investment.

Formulation:

Made with 90% natural-origin ingredients including jasmine wax and plum oil, the Dior Addict Shine Lipsticks have a super slick and hydrating formulation that glides effortlessly on the lips, providing a luminous, lightweight shine. With a light fruity scent, the Dior Addict Shine Lipstick has a semi-sheer pigmentation that's smooth and non-patchy. There is minimal creasing or settling, so the color sits beautifully atop the lips without emphasizing wrinkles or dry patches. The longevity is lacking but that is expected with such a high-shine and hydrating formulation. Overall, these are such gorgeous lipsticks! Not only do they make the lips look so plump and shiny, they also feel incredibly hydrating and comfortable. So needless to say, these are definite recommendations from me! There are currently 40 shades available and I have below 4 of the star shades.

008 Dior 8: The most pigmented of the four, Dior 8 is a beautiful warm red with a subtle iridescence.

100 Nude Look: I'm generally not a fan of nude lipsticks as they tend to wash me out but Nude Look is a stunning your-lips-but-better rosy beige that's super flattering and wearable.

525 Chérie: This is a youthful rose scattered with a subtle iridescence, the color wears a lot more pigmented than it swatches on the arm.

720 Icône: No doubt my favorite of the four, Icône is a deep pinkish red. Again, the color is much more pigmented than expected based on the arm swatch.
