Housed in a small bulbous glass pump bottle shaped like a strawberry (it's got the seed dimples and everything), the Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum contains a 10% Clarity Acid Complex that is made of 2% encapsulated salicylic acid (a BHA that clarifies the pores and prevents breakouts), mandelic acid (a high molecular weight AHA that's more gentle on the skin), strawberry extract (with natural enzymes that reduce excess sebum production), azelaic acid, and succinic acid. The serum also contains hydrating allantoin, hyaluronic acid, and is free of silicones and drying alcohols.

With a runny, lightweight texture that spreads easily on the skin, the serum absorbs nicely, leaving no icky or greasy residue. The formulation does not pill or patch, making it great for pairing with other serums, moisturizers, and makeup. It is lightly hydrating and I've not found it to be drying or irritating. The serum does have a noticeable strawberry scent which I'm not a fan of. The smell is naturally derived but is still very artificial so I can definitely do without it. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the new Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth Serum. I love the adorable packaging, the gentle combination of BHA and AHA, and the clean, lightweight formulation. If you have congested, acne-prone skin and are looking for an everyday clarifying serum, this is a great one to try!
