Available in 32 shades, the SEA Hydroflex Serum Foundation from Tarte is a hydrating, medium-coverage foundation formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and vegan collagen. Packaged in a light blue squeeze tube with a small spout opening, the foundation has a runny liquid texture that reminds me a lot of the now-discontinued Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation, which was one of my favorites.
The SEA Hydroflex Serum Foundation blends nicely on the skin and the coverage is light to medium so a concealer is definitely needed for additional coverage. There's some minor settling in the pores but for such a lightweight and breathable foundation, the coverage is actually pretty smoothing. The foundation has a natural satin finish that's not too matte or radiant. In terms of wear, the foundation fares just okay; after a few hours of wear, there's noticeable shine and fading around the nose and T-zone. Overall, this is an easy-to-wear lightweight foundation with a very natural and comfortable finish. It's not super long-lasting or high-coverage but it's perfectly adequate for everyday wear.
Available in 8 shades, the Maracuja Juicy Lip is a hydrating lip gloss-balm hybrid formulated with nourishing maracuja oil, grapeseed oil, and goji extract. Housed in a click pen that pushes out the balm little by little, the Juicy Lip has a very soft, melty texture. A little goes a long way so I would not recommend pushing out too much of the balm at a time as the pen is not retractable. The formulation is very nourishing and high-shine but from the packaging and description, I expected a lightweight juicy balm but this is really more of a lip gloss in a lip balm packaging. The finish feels a bit heavy and it has a slightly tacky touch. In terms of pigmentation, the Maracuja Juicy Lip has just the right touch of color. "Rose" is a flattering rosy beige and "Coconut" is a warm apricot nude.
