Daycation Whipped Blush (C$42 for 10 ml). Promising a "longwearing, buildable" formulation that "blends seamlessly for a just got back from vacation glow", the blushes are also vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. I've got reviews and swatches of a couple shades to share with you today. To read on, click......
Packaging:The Daycation Whipped Blush from Bite Beauty comes in an adorable disc-shaped squeeze tube. It takes quite a bit of effort to squeeze out the blush and because a little goes a long way, it's tricky to dispense just the right amount. For example, the amount I have on the back of my hands in the picture below is way more than needed for both cheeks. The packaging is definitely cute and eye-catching but I personally would have preferred a more traditional squeeze tube.
Formulation:Infused with pineapple and papaya extract, the Daycation Whipped Blush has a lightweight cream finish that's easy to blend and quite pigmented. Currently, there are four shades available and I have here "
Coconut Rum", a light warm bronze, and "
Melon Mojito", a soft peachy pink. Both shades are packed with iridescent shimmers but those aren't as noticeable as they appear in the swatches below unless the blush is heavily applied. As mentioned, a little goes a long way with the Daycation Whipped Blushes so you really only need a teeny tiny dab to add a natural glow to the cheeks.
The formulation sets to a natural finish that's mostly smudge-proof but I have noticed that a heavier application may lead to pilling, especially when applied with the fingertips on top of specific types of skincare or foundation. Overall, I think these are very cutely packaged cream blushes that are easy to apply and very natural-looking. For those that like their makeup quick and no-fuss, the Daycation Whipped Blushes are worth checking out but as a traditionalist, I think I'm going to stick with my compact powder blushes.
