Housed in the classic black and white plastic jar similar to that of Aqua Bomb, the Aqua Bomb Brightening Vitamin C Cream is formulated with brightening vitamin C, vitamin E, and a hydrating quadruple hyaluronic acid blend. In addition, the moisturizer contains the classic Napiers formulation, consisting of a plethora of herbal extracts (ex. chickweed, nettle, oat, raspberry) rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. With a soft citrus scent, the Aqua Bomb Brightening Vitamin C Cream is indeed very lightweight and hydrating. However, the formulation is very silicone-heavy, leaving a slick, unpleasant residue on the skin that does not absorb even after a good 15 minutes. As you can read from my review of the Aqua Bomb, I found the original formulation too silicone-y. The vitamin C version, however, is even more so, making it virtually impossible to use under makeup or paired with other skincare without pilling and patching. So overall, this is definitely a miss for me. If you are looking for a good moisturizer, I highly recommend the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, which is lightweight, deeply hydrating, and not as silicone-y in texture.
