Packaging: Both the Glittergasm and Jewelgasm Glowgasm Lip Balms come in a pale pink lipstick tube finished with a shiny metallic coating. The Glittergasm Lip Balm has a translucent light pink bullet scattered with iridescent shimmer flakes while the Jewelgasm Lip Balm has a translucent wine red bullet. Both look super cool and stunning!
Formulation:With a super slick and lightweight texture, the Glowgasm Lips is a tinted lip balm that changes color based on the pH of your lips. "
Glittergasm" appears as a very light pink scattered with iridescent shimmers while "
Jewelgasm" appears as a translucent deep berry. However, both wear pretty similarly on the lips as they provide a sheer wash of pink. Although "Glittergasm" seems to be packed with glitters, those are virtually invisible upon application; only one or two get on the lips after many swipes and they look very subtle unless you are examining the lips close-up. In terms of comfort and longevity, the Jewelgasm Lip Balms fare just okay. The non-sticky finish is lightly hydrating but not very long-lasting so regular touch-ups are needed throughout the day. However, because the balms do stain a bit, a light wash of pink stays behind.
The Glowgasm Lip Balms are pretty similar to the
Dior Lip Glow, the
Clé de Peau Lip Glorifier, and the
Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto. In terms of formulation, the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Lip Balm is most similar to the Clé de Peau and Givenchy counterparts in that it's a much lighter balm compared to the Dior Lip Glow. In terms of the price point, the Glowgasm Lip Balm is definitely more affordable although at $36, it's still pricy. Overall, if you are a fan of the pH-adjusting balms, these are definitely worth the investment thanks to the super stunning presentation.
