A couple years back, Lancôme had a major fragrance release with the Idôle Eau de Parfum. An embodiment of the modern woman, the sophisticated floral fragrance was created by three female perfumers: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina, and Nadège Le Garlantezec. The Bottle:
Maintaining its status as the world's thinnest perfume bottle, Lancôme Idôle L'Intense comes in a rectangular glass flask almost identical to the original with the exception of a dreamy rose gold chrome finish on one side of the bottle. The center of the flask has a shallow circular depression and the fragrance is tinted a light shade of peachy pink. Because of its unique shape, Idôle is intended to be stored laying flat. It technically can stand on its own but will fall easily due to the skinny base. The bottle design is very unique and elegant but it's definitely not super practical as storing it on its side takes up a lot of space on the vanity.

The Scent:
Opening on a sweet and luscious note of bitter orange, Idôle L'Intense is a rich, full-bodied floral bolstered by a warm base of vanilla and woodsy notes. As the scent settles, the patchouli becomes quite prominent, giving the fragrance a more earthy feel. As its name suggests, Idôle L'Intense is a richer, more intense version of the original (reviewed here), which I found a bit generic but fool-proof. The Idôle L'Intense definitely has a bit more personality but it's still a crowd-pleaser, perfect for those looking for a warm, woodsy floral suitable for winter and fall.

Heart Notes: Turkish Rose, Grasse Rose, Egyptian Jasmine, Jasmine Sambac, Musk
Base Notes: Acácia, Cashmere Wood, Patchouli, Madagascar Vanilla, Cedar, Sandalwood
