Make Up For Ever has recently revamped its Rouge Artist Lipstick (C$31 for 3.2 g) Collection (see the original here) with a new formulation and a new packaging! Available in 45 shades, the Rouge Artist Lipstick promises an "ultra-pigmented, satin-finish that provides all-day color and up to 24 hours of hydration". I received two shades recently to test out so I wanted to share with you my review and swatches today. To read on, click.....

Packaging:
Inspired by an artist's brush, the Rouge Artist Lipstick comes in an elegant matte black lipstick tube paired with a long, tapered cap. The lipstick bullet has a rather petite tip that allows for a more precise application.

Formulation:
Infused with camellia oil, squalene, and amino acids, the Rouge Artist Lipstick has an ultra-slick, smooth, and nourishing formulation. With a noticeable sweet fragrance, the formulation is very pigmented and hydrating and the finish has a satin shine. The lipstick wears comfortably with no bleeding but the finish is still prone to smudging and transferring so touch-ups are definitely needed after eating and drinking. See below for a breakdown of the two shades I have here.
206 Dragon Fruit: A bright hot fuchsia, Dragon Fruit is nicely pigmented but not as intense as the red shade below. The finish has a slight "texture" that bunches and settles around fine lines. It's not perfect but also not a dealbreaker.
406 Cherry Muse: This is a beautiful pink-based red. The formulation is very creamy and pigmented and the finish is much more even and smooth.
