Recently, Charlotte Tilbury introduced three limited-edition Matte Revolution Lipstick shades inspired by the colors of rose petals. Lovingly named the Love Filter Matte Revolution Lipstick (C$39 for 3.5 g), the new shades promise a luminous and long-lasting formulation that's infused with lipstick tree extract and orchid extract. Formulation:The Matte Revolution Lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury has been quite hit and miss in the past. Especially with the lighter shades, the formulation tends to be very silicone-heavy and surprisingly difficult to build, resulting in a sometimes patchy and less than impressive coverage. However, with these three new shades, there's a noticeable improvement. With a sweet vanilla scent, the Love Filter Matte Revolution Lipstick is pigmented and creamy. Although there's still that distinct silicone texture, the formulation is smoother and easier to layer. The finish is a true matte and although not completely smudge-proof or transfer-proof, it wears pretty well!
Wedding Belles: Inspired by delicate rosebuds, this is a soft rosy nude. The color is similar to the cult-favorite Pillow Talk but it's a bit more saturated in comparison.
Mrs Kisses: A golden rosy peach, Mrs Kisses contains some very subtle, almost imperceptible golden shimmers. It's a very nice neutral shade for those with a warm skin tone.
