Dior | 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette (C$62 for 7 g):
The 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette gets a couture update this fall with four new shade combinations inspired by iconic elements of Dior. Housed in a slightly updated palette, 5 Couleurs Couture boasts a more pigmented formulation infused with aloe vera and pine oil.

I have here two of the palettes. Taking inspiration from the "timeless, casual-chic style of jeans", "279 Denim" features a shimmery teal, a shimmery sky blue, a shimmery sandy gold, a satin dark denim, and a high-shine shimmery silvery teal. All five shades are super buttery smooth and richly pigmented.

Next up is 5 Couleurs Couture in "689 Mitzah". Inspired by Dior's muse Mitzah Bicard, this palette contains some highly wearable neutrals. There is a satin burnished red, a shimmery golden brown, a shimmery taupe brown, a matte dark brown, and sparkly warm champagne. All five shades including the matte are silky smooth and nicely pigmented. With both of these palettes, I noticed a significant improvement in texture and pigmentation so I definitely would recommend them, especially given the new lower price point (C$62 versus C$72).

Dior | Diorshow 24H Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner (C$37 for 0.2 g):
Available in nine matte and three shimmer shades, the new Diorshow 24H Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner is packaged in a sleek twist-up, retractable pencil capped with a tapered, pencil tip-like cap. A smudger is attached to the opposite end for blending out the liner. With a fairly creamy formulation, the 24H Stylo has a pretty thick lead that dulls out after a couple of swipes, making it difficult to make precise lines as the pencil doesn't come with a sharpener*. Do take care not to twist up too much liner as the lead of the black shade broke when I was trying to swatch it on the back of my hand. Although I appreciate the convenient packaging, I think a traditionally sharpenable pencil format would have worked better here.
*Update*: Thanks to one of my readers, Jessica M, I have discovered that the liner does indeed have a hidden sharpener! To access it, simply pull on the smudger tip once it's been uncapped.

With a very pigmented formulation, the 24H Stylo is not as creamy as I'd expected but it did indeed set to a completely smudge-proof, water-proof, and transfer-proof formulation. The liner sets fairly quickly so you do have to move quickly if you are blending it out. The removal is not too challenging with a makeup wipe and the liner actually comes off in tiny little pills that don't leave dark raccoon eyes. "091 Matte Black" is a deep carbon black and "296 Matte Blue" is a very dark navy.
