I'm not super picky when it comes to face cleansers but it's not always easy finding one that provides just the right amount of lather without stripping away the skin's natural moisture barrier. I first tried the Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser (C$34 for 160 ml) in limited edition Aqua Bomb Deep Hydration Set but the brand also sent over a full-sized version so I thought I'd share an in-depth review of it on the blog today! Housed in a brightly colored squeezable tube sealed with a flip-top cap, the Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser is described as a "jelly-to-foam" cleanser formulated with the same hydrating ingredients as the brand's popular The True Cream Aqua Bomb (reviewed here). Loaded with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich herbal extracts such as chickweed, lady's mantle, horsetail, nettle, and oat, the cleanser has a very natural citrus scent. The cleanser consistency is quite viscous but it lathers very easily, creating a unique foam that's much finer than that of gel cleansers I've tried in the past. The formulation effectively removes sebum and dirt, leaving the skin feeling clean and hydrated. In terms of makeup removal, the cleanser can handle most complexion, eye, and lip products but if you wear a heavy-duty foundation or water-proof products, I would recommend pre-cleansing with micellar water or cleansing oil. Overall, this is a really nice gel cleanser that creates the most luxurious fine lather. It washes off easily, providing a deep, refreshing, but not drying cleansing experience.
