The Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick comes in a rose gold tube coated with a sleek matte finish. The bullet is molded with the classic teardrop shape, giving the lipstick a very elegant and minimalist feel.
Formulation:
Made with cold-pressed sea buckthorn oil, olive oil, pomegranate extract, jojoba oil, and shea butter, the Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick features a slick and lightweight formulation. The pigmentation is not as intense as I expected but the color is very buildable. The finish is hydrating, giving the lips a natural, plumped appearance. As the formulation is so slick and lightweight, the color is prone to transferring and smudging so touch-ups are needed after eating and drinking. The collection offers a total of 12 shades and I have here three nudes and three reds. Read on to get the details of all six.
Focus: This is a warm beige nude. The formulation is nicely pigmented and smooth,
Grace: A pale nude pink, Grace is decently pigmented but slightly patchy. The color settles a bit so it highlights fine-lines and dry patches.
Memory: My fave of the nudes, Memory is a soft neutral rose. The color is creamy and buildable, providing a smooth and even finish.
Courage: This is a bright cheery red. The color is semi-sheer but buildable to an even coverage.
Intuition: My favorite of the reds, Intuition is a rich warm red with a hint of brick brown. The formulation is super pigmented and even.
Perception: Appearing as a very vampy burgundy in the tube, Perception applies lighter than expected. There's a bit of patchiness but the color builds to a beautiful wine red.
Overall, this is a lovely cream lipstick collection with a super hydrating and lightweight formulation. The color selection is very sophisticated and flattering, so you're bound to find a favorite or two!
