Youth To The People is a clean, cruelty-free skincare brand that I've been eyeing for a while now so I was super ecstatic when the brand reached out for me to try their beloved Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream (C$75 for 60 ml). Employing the detoxifying power of fermented reishi mushroom and anti-fatigue properties of ashwagandha, the moisturizer is designed for dry and sensitive skin. I've got a full breakdown of the formulation to share with you. To read my review, click......
Housed in a simple glass jar, the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream has a surprisingly light and thin texture. In addition to the reishi mushroom an ashwagandha, the moisturizer is also formulated with sunflower oil, roseroot, aloe juice, olive-derived squalane, jojoba, and shea. Although the star ingredients are reishi and ashwagandha, two of the other ingredients (roseroot and aloe) are also considered adaptogens, known to support the body's ability to deal with stress. Despite the lightweight formulation, the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream is very nourishing. The scent-free formulation spreads like a dream, instantly soothing and moisturizing the skin. Because the finish is fairly dewy, I wouldn't recommend it for daytime use for oily or combination skin. However, the non-comedogenic formulation is still compatible with oily and combination skin,
Overall, this is an excellent moisturizer that's extremely calming and hydrating. I would recommend it to those with dry skin looking for something effective but lightweight. However, if you have oily or combination skin, the formulation still works for the night time or wintertime.
