The Yehwadam Hwansaenggo Rejuvenating Radiance Cream comes in a luxurious, oversized jar. It features a translucent, double-layered barrel and a super fancy lid adorned with a jewel-like emblem. The cream also comes with an equally fancy applicator to help keep your fingertips out of the jar.

Formulation:
Described as a "soft, ultra-moisturizing and anti-aging cream", the Yehwadam Hwansaenggo Rejuvenating Radiance Cream promises a "clarified, glowing complexion". The cream features two proprietary complexes, the first of which is called "Cheonhyemyeonnguidan".  A secret formulation dedicated to the Hwansaenggo range, Cheonhyemyeonnguidan is a combination of various oriental herbal extracts designed to restore the skin and promote elasticity. Some of the key ingredients include Chinese cucumber, Chinese bellflower, Chinese foxglove, Chinese knotweed, Korean Angelica, safflower,  peony, and golgi berry. The second proprietary complex is called "Hwayoondan". This radiance complex features soothing, antioxidant white willow extract, brightening sea buckthorn extract high in vitamin C, vitamin E, and amino acids, and anti-aging honeysuckle extract which boosts cell activity.

With a lightweight and non-greasy texture, the Rejuvenating Radiance Cream actually has a very pleasant floral fragrance, unlike other traditional oriental medicine inspired skincare, which can have a distinct medicinal smell. The cream spreads nicely on the skin and absorbs quickly, leaving behind a slightly dewy finish. Two forms of silicone (5th and 9th ingredients) are used in the formulation so depending on what you layer beneath and on top of the cream, some pilling and patching may be of concern. I've personally not experienced any but I am still not a fan of their inclusion. Additionally, it's worth noting that the 8th ingredient, C14-22 alcohols, is a mixture of synthetic fatty alcohols that won't dry out the skin.

Overall, this is a really nourishing cream appropriate for both day and night use, depending on your skin type. I find it a tad heavy for daytime use on my oily, combination skin but if you have dry skin, I can easily see this as an everyday moisturizer appropriate for pre-makeup prep. I've not noticed a significant brightening effect but I'm sure the plethora of herbal extracts provides lots of calming and antioxidant effects that will surely benefit the skin. I personally would have preferred a silicone-free formulation but it's not a dealbreaker here as I've not experienced any pilling or heaviness.
