It's 2020 and most beauty brands are striving to be more ethically responsible and environmentally friendly. Sally Hansen is doing this with the release of a new plant-based, 15-free, and 100% vegan nail polish range called Good. Kind. Pure. (C$9.99 for 10 ml). Available in 30 shades, the formulation contains no sulfates, parabens, acetone, phthalates (including DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, xylene, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, triphenyl phosphate (TPP), nonylphenol ethoxylate, silicone, glycol ether, and styrene. Additionally, the brush bristles are made from bio-sourced resin that smoothly applies the polishes.
140 Almond Tan:
This is a soft neutral beige cream. The formulation is slightly thin and sheer but buildable to a smooth opaque coverage.
230 Pink Cardamom:
A gorgeous dusty nude rose, Pink Cardamom is rich and pigmented. Two coats give a nice and smooth coverage.
240 Golden Quartz:
This is a rose gold polish packed with fine shimmers. The formulation is surprisingly full-coverage. I used two coats for the swatches below.
260 Eco-Rose:
One of my favorites from the collection, Eco-Rose is a rich rosy mauve. The formulation is pigmented, creamy, and easy to work with.
290 Peony Origins:
A bright petal pink, Peony Origins is pigmented and creamy. I used two coats for the swatches below.
330 Beet It:
This is a deep burgundy plum. The formulation is surprisingly sheer but you can still get a nice and even coverage in two coats.

Overall, this is a really well-formulated nail polish range! All six colors I have here are great and despite the cleaner formulation, there's no compromise on performance.
