For Spring and Summer 2020, NEST Fragrances is introducing a brand new scent called Sunkissed Hibiscus. Inspired by the "mysterious allure of Vodoo Queen hibiscus and the warm radiance of a stunning sunset", the Sunkissed Hibiscus Eau de Parfum (C$98 for 50 ml or C$36 for 8 ml) is described as a luminous solar floral boasting notes of frangipani, orange blossom, and golden amber. The Scent:
With a sweet floral opening thanks to the heady frangipani, Sunkissed Hibiscus is your quintessential summer beach fragrance highlighted with notes of milky coconut and warm golden amber. Despite its name, Sunkissed Hibiscus doesn't actually contain any hibiscus (which is usually a synthetic scent when listed as note in perfumes). Instead, the combination of frangipani, orange blossom, and golden amber are designed to capture the essence of hibiscus.
With a fairly stronge sillage and moderate longevity, Sunkissed Hibiscus is warm, inviting, and very sweet. Although not sugary sweet, the fragrance is not for those that prefer a lighter, more refreshing floral fragrance. The scent reminds me a bit Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess (reviewed here) so if you are a fan of beachy, coconut-heavy scents, you will love Sunkissed Hibiscus!

The Bottle:
All of the illustrations NEST sources from 18th-century British artist Mary Delany are beautiful but the artwork for the Sunkissed Hibiscus Eau de Parfum is truly outstanding. The unique coloration of the mysterious Vodoo Queen hibiscus is captured perfectly in fine detail, making the bottle a true piece of art.
