the bestselling face wash at Sephora and has been for a long time. I'm a huge fan myself so imagine my excitement when I found out that Fresh also offers an exfoliant version of this cleanser called the
Soy Face Exfoliant (C$57 for 100 ml). With a gentle yet effective formulation, this face scrub provides a "natural microdermabrasion that resurfaces and refines for divinely smooth skin". I've got all the details to share with you today. To read on, click.....
Housed in a simple squeeze tube topped with a flip-top spout dispenser, the Soy Face Exfoliant has a grainy texture consisting of
jojoba beads,
rose seed powder, and
cucumber seed.
Cucumber extract is added for soothing effect,
vitamin E is added for antioxidant effect, and
soy proteins are used to boost cell turnover. The paste-like formulation is super exfoliating but not abrasive or irritating. Nevertheless, as this is a physical exfoliant, the product should be massaged gently onto the face and be limited to two to three uses per week. Although not technically a cleanser, the Soy Face Exfoliant provides just a touch of lathering and washes off easily without leaving behind a greasy residue. I love the yummy, natural soy fragrance, which really elevates the cleansing experience. As compared to the recently released Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash (reviewed
here), the Soy Face Exfoliant is definitely more scrubby and efficient at removing dead skin cells and dry patches. After each use, my skin feels super smooth and looks extra refined. If you love a good face scrub, then this is definitely a must-try. The C$57 price point is higher than expected but because of the clean ingredients and superb formulation, I think it's worth the investment!
