New from Catrice comes a trio of eyeshadow palettes inspired by the Instagram culture. Catrice | Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette

Packaging:
The Catrice Bae Palettes come in slim cardboard palettes adorned with bold graphics and gold embossings. Each palette offers 12 generously sized eyeshadows totaling 12.5 g and there is a large mirror on the underside of the lid to aid makeup application. There's nothing too fancy here in terms of packaging but for the price point, the quality is as expected.

Formulation:
The Catrice Bae Eyeshadow Palette comes in three versions: Basic Bae, Badass Bae, and Self-Made Bae. All three palettes contain a good mix of mattes and shimmers. The Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette offers a selection of nudes and browns, the Badass Bae Eyeshadow Palette offers a variety of terra cotta and warm browns, and the Self-Made Bae Eyeshadow Palette offers a range of cool nudes and plummy browns.

Catrice | Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette

I've tried the Catrice x EMAN Eyeshadow Palette (reviewed here) before and was very impressed with the formulation so I had high expectations with these palettes. Unsurprisingly, these three palettes did not let me down. From pigmentation to texture, all the eyeshadows are just fantastic. The mattes are silky and pigmented while the shimmers are creamy and intense, and as I've mentioned before, the Catrice formulation is as good as it gets for drugstore eyeshadows. It's also worth noting that each palette is well-curated as to include all the shades needed to create a full eye makeup look. I personally really appreciate the inclusion of a light matte nude in each palette as that's the type of shade I prefer for brow bone highlighting. If I had to choose, my only criticism of the Bae Eyeshadow Palettes is that some of the colors do feel a bit redundant. This is particularly true with the Badass Bae Eyeshadow Palette, in which there just seems to be one too many burnt orange matte. Overall, however, all three of these are fantastic palettes available at an amazingly affordable price point! See below for shade descriptions of each palette.
