Dermalogica | Active Clay Cleanser |
Housed in a simple squeeze tube, the Dermalogica Active Clay Cleanser features a dual-action cleansing system consisting of oil-absorbing kaolin clay and activated charcoal. Botanical lipids in combination with murumuru butter help attract excess sebum while also maintaining the skin's natural lipid barrier. Additionally, citrus-derived bioflavonoids (an antioxidant), aloe extract, and broccoli extract help purify and refine the skin.
With a creamy, charcoal gray appearance, the cleanser spreads easily on the skin. It has an amazing citrus scent that reminds me of freshly squeezed orange juice. The formulation doesn't lather when first massaged onto the skin, but it does get a little sudsy when rinsed with water. After rinsing, my skin feels clean and hydrated with no oily residue. The cleanser isn't great at removing makeup so if you are using it at the end of the day, I would recommend double-cleansing. Overall, this is an excellent clay-based cleanser for oily skin. If you want a gentle, non-drying face wash that protects the skin's natural moisture barrier while also removing excess oil and impurities, the Dermalgica Clay Cleanser is a must-try!
