Charlotte Tilbury has released quite a handful of new products lately so I am playing a bit of catch up today by providing you with a detailed look at two new Luxury Palettes (C$66) and a limited edition Matte Revolution Lipstick (C$39). To see my review and swatches, click......
Charlotte Tilbury | Queen of Glow Luxury Palette (C$66 for 5 g):
Inspired by a glowy sunset, the Queen of Glow Luxury Palette is themed around a warm copper color. "Prime" is a soft rose gold, "Enhance" is a warm copper gold, "Pop" is a sparkly orange copper, and "Smoke" is a matte burgundy brown. While "Pop" is fallout-prone, the rest of the shades are well-formulated. The matte burgundy is a touch patchy when swatched on the arm but it blends evenly on the lids. Overall, this is a beautiful palette! The warm coppery color combination feels very glamorous and very quintessentially Charlotte.
Charlotte Tilbury | The Rebel Luxury Palette (C$66 for 5 g):
Another new eyeshadow quad from Charlotte Tilbury, The Rebel Luxury Palette celebrates a sultry khaki gold color scheme. "Prime" is a warm antique gold, "Enhance" is a khaki green, "Pop" is a sparkly muted moss, and "Smoke" is a deeper mossy green. The first two shades are pigmented, rich, and packed to the brim with shimmery particles. "Pop" has a slick, almost wet-feeling and it contains more sparkles than pigments. "Smoke", on the other hand, is pigmented but messy and fallout-prone. Overall the palette is excellent but I can't help but feel that "Pop" and "Smoke" are way too similar to each other. I wouldn't mind a paler gold shimmer to replace the "Pop" as it would actually provide a more highlighting effect atop the other golden khaki colors.
Charlotte Tilbury | Limited Edition Matte Revolution Lipstick in "Scarlet Spell" (C$39 for 3.5 g):
A limited-edition shade released this Winter, this Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick features a beautiful bullet embossed with lots of textured kissy lips. "Scarlet Spell" is described as a rich winter berry and although it appears very deep in the tube, the shade doesn't look half as intense when applied on the lips. I think a better description of the shade is a muted berry rose. The color is fairly pigmented but the silicone-heavy formulation doesn't layer well so it's hard to get an even and opaque coverage. Therefore, I would recommend pairing this with a similarly colored lip liner.
