Givenchy Holiday 2019 Red Line Collection | Red Lights 4 Color Face & Eyes Palette (C$78 for 4.8 g):
Housed in a lacquered black compact with a glitter-covered lid, this is a four-shade limited edition face and eye palette. The pressed powders are molded in the pattern of the iconic 4 "Gs" Givenchy logo; this creates a very stunning aesthetic but once the powders are dipped into, fallouts get everywhere, essentially ruining the design. Therefore, this is probably more of a collector's item for most people.
Included are an iridescent pearly shimmer with a very subtle hint of pale green, a pastel orange nude, a light petal pink, and a sheer soft red. The shimmery shade is packed to the brim with sparkles while the three mattes are fairly sheer. All four shades have a soft and silky texture, although they are quite loose and fallout-prone. Because this is described as a face and eye palette, all the shades can be swirled together as a cheek color. However, it would be very difficult to pick up the pink or the red individually as the pan is very small and semi-obstructed by the plastic inlay.
Givenchy Holiday 2019 Red Line Collection | Prisme Libre Loose Powder in "10 Sparkling Mousseline" (C$80 CAD for 12 g):
With a festive glittery red lid, this is a limited edition of the classic Prisme Libre Loose Powder. Givenchy's limited edition Prisme Libre powders usually come in the shade "1 Mousseline Pastel", but this year the powder comes in a brand new shade called "
10 Sparkling Mousseline". A light baby pink, a pale baby blue, a translucent white, and a soft lavender, all four shades of "10 Sparkling Mousseline" are infused with a very subtle dash of iridescence. The colors combine to form a translucent white that's not much different from the original "1 Mousseline Pastel". As always, the powder formulation is silky and finely milled. It provides a subtle blurring glow to the skin while leaving no discernable pigmentation (on lighter skin tones).
Givenchy Holiday 2019 Red Line Collection | Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in "27 Bold Red" & "28 Thrilling Brown" (C$45 CAD for 3.4 g each):
With a limited edition red and black case, the Holiday 2019 Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick has an intricately designed bullet embossed with tiny Givenchy logos. "
27 Bold Red" is a festive ruby red while "
28 Thrilling Brown" is a warm medium brown. Both shades contain subtle iridescent sparkles and the formulation is super slick and lightweight. The pigmentation is a bit sheer so the shades need to be built to ensure an even coverage. Additionally, because the colors are quite balmy, they are prone to transferring and fading with eating and drinking. With that said, the lipsticks are hydrating and comfortable so it's great for those that value comfort over longevity.
