Full Force Plumping Lipstick (C$25 for 3.5 g) has been receiving lots of praise. So is it as amazing as it sounds? Read my review and see some lip swatches to find out......
Packaging:
The Full Force Plumping Lipstick from Buxom comes in an all-silver case with a matte base and a shiny cap. The lipstick bullet is embossed with lots of kissy lips along its length and the tip is curved to hug the contours of the lips.
Formulation:
Infused with olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and sodium hyaluronate, the Full Force Plumping Lipstick is an ultra-creamy lipstick with a pigmented formulation. Fragranced a soft vanilla scent, the formulation is also infused with menthol to provide the lips with a subtle cooling sensation that's not irritating or stinging. The lipstick glides smoothly in the lips and it feels incredibly hydrating. The finish has a natural shine and it indeed makes the lips look plump and nourished. In terms of wear, the Full Force Plumping Lipstick does okay. It will smudge and transfer with eating and drinking but it does so in a non-splotchy manner. Influencer: This is a beautiful muted rose. It's your sophisticated, everyday go-to color. The pigmentation is semi-sheer but even and I love that it still allows my natural lip color to show through for a very natural and glowy finish.
Dolly Dancer: A dusty mauve rose, Dolly Dancer is noticeably more pigmented than Influencer. If you love a full-coverage, office-friendly pink, this one is a great option!
Hot Shot: A warm orange that just screams fall, Hot Shot is also very opaque and creamy. This is a unique color and although it's not my cup of tea, I think it will win over many fans of orange lipsticks.
Powerhouse: This is a fresh and pretty coral red. The color is bold and intense but it's sheerer in comparison to the others. The finish has a very lovely translucency that feels fun and youthful.
I'm honestly very impressed with the Buxom Full Force Plumping Lipsticks. From the hydrating and creamy texture to the even and pigmented coverage, everything about this lipstick ticks all the boxes. If you have been on a hunt for an everyday lipstick that's comfortable yet pigmented, then you have to check these out!
