Clé de Peau Beauté | Summer 2019 Luminizing Face Enhancer ($120 CAD for 10 g):
Housed in a stunning pale gold compact with a three-dimensional jewel-like lid, this is a gorgeous powder highlighter consisting of a pale peach, golden champagne, and pastel mint. The silky and soft powder has a fine glitter overspray that gives the first few applications a sparkly finish. The powder itself, however, has a very refined and sophisticated sheen that's not at all glittery. The formulation is sheer so the highlighter doesn't give much color. Instead, it provides a sheer golden glow.
When it comes to highlighters, I'm not a fan of over-the-top metallic sheens or chunky glitters so the Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer is just my cup of tea. It actually reminds me a bit of my all-time favorite highlighter, the
Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter, but a more golden version. The pricing is obviously steep but given how long highlighters last, this is a worthy investment!
A cream-to-power eyeshadow formulated with argan oil, the Cream Eye Color Solo has two new shades for Summer 2019. "308" is a pale oyster champagne shimmer and "309" is a medium brown with golden bronze shimmer. Both shades are quite sheer so they are more suitable for a light wash of color as opposed to a super intense look. The formulation is creamy and lightweight and the application is smooth and even. The shadows do set to a powder-dry finish so the pigments aren't smudge-resistant. If you are a fan of foolproof, one swipe and go type of eyeshadow, then these are worth checking out.
