The Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream is the best-selling product from IT Cosmetics and it has a couple of versions to accommodate different skin types. Since I have oily, acne-prone skin, I decided to try out the Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 ($52 CAD for 32 ml). Infused with detoxifying charcoal, oil-absorbing clay, and bacteria-fighting tea tree extract, the color-correcting cream promises full-coverage wear in 12 shades. So how well does it actually perform? Read my review to find out......
Packaging:
Housed in a soft squeezable plastic tube, the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 is equipped with an airless pump dispenser. The packaging is identical to that of the original with the exception of a blue label.
Formulation:
Also containing an anti-aging serum consisting of collagen, peptides, niacin, vitamins, and antioxidants, the Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 contains physical sunscreen (titanium dioxide and zinc dioxide) for sun protection. The formulation is quite viscous compared to your average foundation or CC cream and I found the application quite streaky, even when I applied it with the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush. The CC cream provides a medium, buildable coverage and the finish is pretty matte. I noticed some clinging right away, especially around my brow area. However, the formulation does blur and minimize enlarged pores.
Availability:

IT Cosmetics | Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 in "Fair Light" |
I am wearing below the second lightest shade called "Fair Light". This is quite a warm ivory that oxidized noticeably after setting so the shade "Fair" may have been a better match. In terms of wear, the Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte performed pretty well. There was a noticeable delay in shine and despite some minor fading, the finish did not dramatically crease. However, the cream did further emphasize my dry patches so it won't work well for combination skin. Overall, this is a pretty good summertime complexion product. The medium, long-wearing coverage coupled with the SPF protection make it an easy go-to for a nice breezy bike ride or a sunny day at the beach.
