Just in time for summer,
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has a handful of new releases that will get you bronzed and sculpted for the beach. Available in eight shades, the
Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer promises a natural, sun-kissed glow while the
Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter gives you free rein on how you want to shine. I've got reviews and swatches of a few shades to share with you today. To read on, click......
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna | Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer ($40 CAD for 6.23 g):
Available in eight shades designed to complement a wide array of skin tones, the Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer is housed in a shiny rose gold octagonal compact. The pressed powder has a silky smooth texture and it is super easy to blend. When it comes to bronzers, a highly pigmented formulation is not always a good thing as it's easy to go overboard during application. Therefore, I love how the Sun Stalk'r Bronzers are sheer but buildable. They apply very evenly and provide a natural matte finish.
I have here two of the lightest shades. "
Inda Sun" is a sheer beige tan designed for those with very fair skin tones. If you are super pale and find that most bronzers give you a "muddy" look, then this is the shade to use. "
Shady Biz", on the other hand, is a light tan, also intended for those with a lighter skin tone. Overall, this is a natural, silky, and even bronzer. The best thing about it is the wide shade range. Those with very pale or very dark skin tones that usually can't find a suitable shade will finally find their match!
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna | Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlight ($48 CAD for 7.5 g):
In addition to the new bronzers, Fenty Beauty also released a range of fun highlighters for the summer. One shade in particular, "
Penny4UThots", works surprisingly well as a bronzer. Appearing quite intense and chunky in the pan, this is a dark bronze highlighter embedded with golden shimmer flecks. While creamy and silky, the application is fall-out prone due to the large shimmer chunks. I had to essentially brush all of them away as they don't adhere well to the skin but the remaining color is quite nice. "Penny4UThots" works well for sculpting on medium to dark skin. The finish has a subtle sheen that gives the skin a sun-kissed, glow-from-within look.
