Vitamin C as a skincare ingredient is still all the rage right now and Sunday Riley recently upped its game with a couple of new releases. Formulated with THD ascorbate, a very stable and oil-soluble version of vitamin C, the C.E.O. Collection "helps fight the signs of aging caused by time, stress, lifestyle, and pollution". Today, I have reviews of the C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil and the C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream to share with you. To read on, click......
Sunday Riley | C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil ($50 CAD for 15 ml or $100 CAD for 30 ml):
Available in two sizes, the C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil is housed in a sleek and sturdy glass bottle paired with a convenient dropper dispenser. Formulated with an oil-soluble form of vitamin C in cold-pressed raspberry seed oil, jojoba oil, cranberry seed oil, pomegranate seed oil, and evening primrose oil, C.E.O. Glow also contains extracts of turmeric root and ginger root to promote a glowing, brightened complexion. The oil has a natural citrus scent and it has a bright orange tint.
The formulation is quite light and runny and it absorbs very efficiently without leaving behind a heavy or greasy finish. Sunday Riley recommends applying C.E.O. Glow before moisturizers or after retinol treatments (morning and/or night) but it alone provides enough hydration and nourishment for my oily, combination skin. Even after the first use, I noticed a brighter, more even complexion. As I've mentioned before, I have been really embracing facial oils so I've been pairing this with the Kiehl's Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil as my complete night time routine. If you want a boost of glow from an alternative to the plethora of vitamin C serums on the market, then this oil is a great option!
Ingredients: Cold Pressed Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Neopentyl Glycol Diethylhexanoate, Caprylyl Caprylate/Caprate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Cold Pressed Cranberry Seed Oil, Cold Pressed Pomegranate Seed Oil, Cucumber Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Seed, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Octyldodecanol, Turmeric Root Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, Bitter Orange Flower Oil, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Sunflower Seed Oil, Pentylene Glycol, 4-t-Butylcyclohexanol, Black Currant Seed Oil, Bisabolol, Cetylhydroxyproline Palmitamide, Hexyldecanol, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Stearic Acid, Rapeseed Sterols, Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower/ Leaf/ Vine Extract, Zingiber Officinale, Rosemary Leaf Extract
Sunday Riley | C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream ($28 CAD for 15 g or $85 CAD for 50 g):
With a water and squalane base, the C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream is a luscious moisturizer containing 5% oil-soluble vitamin C. With a surprisingly lightweight yet rich and instantly soothing texture, the cream has a soft tangerine scent similar to that of the C.E.O. Glow Oil. The silicone-free and alcohol-free formulation applies really smoothly and it does not pill or patch, making it a great base moisturizer before makeup application. The finish does get a touch shiny on my oily/combination skin so I've been using it exclusively for the nighttime but for those with normal to dry skin, it's suitable for both night and day. When combined with the C.E.O. Glow Oil, the moisturizer really gives the skin a beautiful boost of glow. My skin looks so plump and radiant that I really can't ask for more.
