Dior has a brand new addition to its lipstick family in the form of the

Packaging:
With a sleek double layered cap and the classic knob design, the Dior Addict Stellar Shine is similarly packaged as the original Dior Addict Lipstick (reviewed
here), with the exception of the embedded Dior logo, which has a soft pink chrome finish instead of the original silver.
Formulation:
With 24 shades, the Dior Addict Stellar Shine is actually divided into three finishes (high-shine, satin, and shimmer). I have here one of each and it seems that the distinction between them is that high-shine has a frosty shimmer finish, satin has a shimmer-free finish, while shimmer has a scattered sparkly finish. Aside from how they look, the formulation is consistent across the different finishes. With an ultra-slick, balmy texture that pretty much "melts" on contact, the Stellar Shine Lipstick is super hydrating, comfortable, and lightweight on the lips. The pigmentation is definitely sheer but the coverage is even so there's no settling or patching. In terms of wear, the lipstick is pretty lackluster. Due to the light, balmy texture, the lipstick easily transfers with any contact so reapplication is a must to maintain color and shine. It's hard to write about this range without mentioning its direct competitor, the Chanel Rouge Coco Flash (reviewed
here), which was actually released around the same time. From what I can tell, the two formulations are pretty much indistinguishable so I would recommend them equally. Which one to invest in would be purely based on packaging and brand loyalty.
352 D-Galaxy (Shimmer): A very sheer nude peach, D-Galaxy has a generous sprinkle of iridescent shimmers. Depending on your natural lip color, the shade may wash out your complexion so I wouldn't recommend it to those with naturally pale lips unless a soft nude look is what's desired.
554 Diorsolar (Satin): This is a bright and fresh coral pink with no shimmers. The color is sheer but buildable.
595 Diorstellaire (High-Shine): Packaged with a super fine lavender iridescence that gives the color a frosty finish, this is a pale lavender pink. The color looks a lot paler that it shows up on the lips but again, it is not a color I would recommend putting directly over very pale lips as it may wash out the complexion. I would, however, recommend using it as a shimmery lip toppwer over a pink base.
If you love sheer, easy-to-apply tinted balms with a nourishing and lightweight finish, then the Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipsticks are perfect for you! The wear time is definitely short but considering the ultra-slick and comfortable formulation, I don't think anyone will mind reapplying throughout the day. Have you tried this range?
