For Spring 2019, Tarte has once again expanded its ever-growing Rainforest of the Sea Collection with a colorful new palette and a bi-phase plumping serum. I've got reviews and swatches of both the High Tides & Good Vibes Eyeshadow Palette ($49 CAD for 19 g) and the Deep Sea Collagen Super Serum ($47 CAD for 28 ml) to share with you today. Tarte | Rainforest of the Sea High Tides & Good Vibes Eyeshadow Palette ($49 CAD for 19 g):
Housed in the most fun and awesome compact with a liquid-embedded lid, this is a beach-themed eyeshadow palette with eight pressed eyeshadows (1.5 g each) and four pressed glitter toppers (1.7 g each). Infused with marine plant extracts and a sweet vanilla fragrance, the majority of the pressed shadows are pigmented and creamy in texture. A couple shades are not as intense and rich as I would have expected but the overall formulation is still very good. See below for a breakdown of all eight shades.
Buried Gold: A stunning pale champagne shimmer, Buried Gold is pigmented and rich in texture.
Galapagos: This is a buttery soft metallic brown that's right on par with the amazing eyeshadows from the Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Volume I (and Volume II) that you may remember.
Dive In: A deep teal metallic, Dive In is super rich and pigmented. The color will stain so it's best paired with a good primer or base color.
Deep Blue: This is a bright cobalt blue with a satin shimmer finish. The pigmented formulation is also prone to staining.
In addition to the eight regular eyeshadows, Tarte has also included four pressed glitter toppers in the High Tides & Good Vibes Eyeshadow Palette. Suspended within a clear, slightly tacky base that helps the particles adhere to skin, the four shades are packed to the brim with chunky, single-colored glitters. Turtlette is an icy silver, Champagne Beach is a pale gold, Aquaholic is a bright blue, and Beached Daze is a pretty pink. The formulation can be quite patchy so these glitters are best used over a base color and applied used a dabbing motion. Although the base provides a binding property, the glitters are not smudge-proof. I personally find the glitter particles just a touch too chunky but if you like a bold, exaggerated look for a night out, these are pretty fun.

In addition to the colorful eyeshadow palette, the Rainforest of the Sea Collection has a new bi-phase serum called the Deep Sea Collagen Super Serum. Formulated with oils of coconut, argan, shea, camellia, hyaluronic acid, and marine-derived collagen, the serum has a unique, oil-essence texture that's surprisingly lightweight and quick absorbing. Coconut oil can be a bit heavy on certain skin types so I would advise using the serum sparingly. So far, I found the formulation to be very hydrating without being greasy. It gives the skin a boost of moisture and adds a nice glow that's not slick or shiny. The serum works great under moisturizers and it can also be used before makeup application to create a smooth, hydrating base.

Beach Therapy: Matte bronze tan with a pigmented and even formulation.
Aloha, Beaches: Matte cinnamon brown with a nice and non-patchy finish.
Surf's Up: This is a pale baby blue with a satin-matte finish. The pigmentation is weak but the color is somewhat buildable.
South Beach: A gorgeous matte coral, South Beach is disappointingly sheer. The powder is also prone to going hard pan, which happened within the first few swipes of me trying to swatch the color.
