In the recent year, Pixi has really been stepping up its skincare game with a plethora of unique and innovative releases and one that recently caught my eyes is the new DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches($24 CAD). Available as a set of 30, these hydrogel patches promise to reduce under-eye puffiness and dark circles by boosting hydration. To see how these perform, read my review to find out......
With 30 single-use pairs sealed in a simple plastic jar, the DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches are made of gold-embedded hydrogel drenched in a viscous serum formulated with coconut extract, cucumber extract, caffeine, and hyaluronic acid. Included is a mini spatula for picking up the thin but durable hydrogel patches, which are designed to be applied for 10 minutes after cleansing. The patches feel instantly cooling and soothing on the skin and they do indeed minimize swelling. The skin under my eyes looks smoother and plumper after removal but I have noticed that the formulation leaves a bit of a residue that will pill depending on which moisturizer I apply on top. This is not a dealbreaker but I would recommend testing how the serum affects makeup application as concealer and foundation may pill over it.
Overall, this is a really nice pick-me-up for those that need a pop of hydration and refreshment for the under-eye area. I especially like the jar packaging as individually bagged eye patches can be so wasteful. If you struggle with puffiness in the morning, definitely give this a try!
