Over the past few years, vitamin C as a skincare ingredient has become extremely popular. A potent antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals caused by UV, pollution, and blue light, vitamin C brightens the complexion and diminishes the looks of lines and wrinkles. Just about every major brand has its own vitamin C cleanser, serum, mask, or cream and I've tried quite a few on the blog in the past (ex. The Jouviance Vitamin C Youth Boosting Night Serum comes in a 30 ml glass bottle equipped with a dropper dispenser. The packaging is pretty standard but I find the dropper a bit hard to work with. By pressing the button at the top of the cap, only a very small amount of the serum gets drawn up into the dropper so I have to pump at least twice to get the amount I need. With 20% vitamin C (the maximum percentage that the skin can absorb, according to Jouviance), this Vitamin C Youth Boosting Night Serum is one of the most concentrated vitamin C products on the market that uses a light- and heat-stable form of the ingredient that's eight times more effective than the standard molecule. The formulation is also infused with vitamin E and two types of hyaluronic acid to boost hydration.
With a lightweight, slightly viscous texture that's free of alcohols and silicones, the Vitamin C Youth Boosting Night Serum spreads easily on bare skin. The formulation absorbs efficiently and leaves behind no icky residue. There's no pilling so it layers well and I've been having lots of success mixing it with various moisturizers. Just after one use, I've noticed a smoother, brighter complexion. My skin wakes up looking healthier and more glowy. As I've mentioned, I've tried numerous vitamin C skincare products in the past and this one from Jouviance simply has the best texture and provides the most noticeable result. The formulation has a very subtle floral fragrance so even those with a sensitive nose should be able to tolerate it. Overall, this is an awesome serum with a phenomenal formulation that provides actual results at a reasonable price. I would recommend it to anyone looking to add some vitamin C into their skincare routine.
