Givenchy is fully embracing spring with the release of two limited edition lip products. Inspired by Living Coral, Pantone Color of the Year 2019, the Le Rouge Lipstick Spring Limited Edition ($50 for 3.4 g) and Le Rouge Perfecto Spring Limited Edition ($49 CAD for 2.2 g) add a cheery pop of color to any spring look. Packaging:
Both Spring Limited Edition products are housed in a special, collectible packaging. The genuine leather wrap is printed with a sleek white to pink ombre, which perfectly compliments the bright orange bullets.
Formulation:
A fresh and juicy papaya orange, the Le Rouge Perfecto Limited Edition in "05 Spirited" is a slick, hydrating balm. The formulation contains eosin, which adjusts color as it reacts to the lips' pH. However, as compared to other Le Rouge Perfecto shades, the eosin level in "05 Spirited" seems lower as the balm doesn't stain as much. The finish has a natural sheen and the color will easily fade with light eating and drinking so regular touch-ups are needed.
The Le Rouge Lipstick Limited Edition in "332 Fearless", on the other hand, is a bold and bright orange-red. The formulation is super creamy and pigmented and the finish also offers a natural sheen. The color isn't transfer-proof but it will last through light eating and drinking with no bleeding. If you are a fan of orange-based reds, this is a great option!
