Clarins | *NEW* My Clarins Skincare Collection: Review

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links and the products featured were provided for review.
Clarins is one of my favorite skincare brands as it consistently creates reasonably priced, high-quality products that deliver exactly what they promise. Often times, however, the brand seems to fall under the radar, failing to attract a younger demographic that's more focused on new and trendy skincare brands. Therefore, Clarins has launched the new My Clarins Collection that's geared towards a younger clientele. With a fun, colorful packaging and an affordable price point, the range is vegan, cruelty-free and formulated without sulfates SLS, SLES, parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, and other potentially harmful ingredients. I have four My Clarins items to share with you today. To read my reviews, click......

Clarins | My Clarins RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel ($22 CAD for 125 ml):
Formulated with bitter orange water and extracts of moringa and meadowsweet, this is a gentle gel cleanser designed for all skin types. With a light blue tint, the cleanser provides a refreshing lather that leaves the skin feeling clean but not dried out. It removes most makeup with the exception of very waterproof eyeliners or mascaras. There's nothing super fancy or unique but the formulation is effective and reasonably priced. My only complaint with the RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel is its packaging, which features one of those rubber covered spout openings that only dispenses the product when quite a bit of pressure is applied to the tube. If not careful, a lot of product squirts out so I advice only squeezing very gently to avoid waste.
Clarins | My Clarins RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate, Sodium Cocoyl Amino Acids, Lauryl Glucoside, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Water, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyisopropanol, Xanthan Gum, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium Edta, Sorbic Acid, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite,Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Ci 77891/Titanium Dioxide, Phenoxyethanol, Spiraea Ulmaria Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Extract, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Sorbate, Tin Oxide, Ci 42090/Blue 1, [V3150a].

Clarins | My Clarins RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist ($22 CAD for 100 ml):
Housed in a sturdy glass bottle equipped with a fantastic nozzle that really fans out the mist, the RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist is formulated with coconut water, and extracts of alpine rose, fig, and acerola designed to rebalance and rehydrate the skin. The ingredients contain alcohol but it's not too high on the list. The mist can be applied right after cleansing or throughout the day and it feels instantly soothing and refreshing with no stinging or irritation. All four products I have here from the My Clarins collection are scented but the RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist has an especially heavy floral fragrance. I rarely have issues with fragranced skincare but I feel that the scent of the mist is just too pungent. Since this is a spray and some of the aerosolized particles are bound to be inhaled, I really wish Clarins had toned it down with the scent. With that said, if you enjoy a refreshing facial mist with a strong floral scent, then this is worth a try.
Clarins | My Clarins RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist
Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Propanediol, Glycerin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Ppg-26-Buteth-26, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Seed Extract, Robinia Pseudoacacia Flower Extract, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Extract, Potassium Sorbate, [V3145a].

Clarins | My Clarins RE-BOOST Refreshing Hydrating Cream ($27 CAD for 50 ml):
A lightweight gel moisturizer formulated with coconut water and extracts of alpine rose, goji berry, fig, acerola, and tamarind that boosts hydration and radiance, the RE-BOOST Refreshing Hydrating Cream spreads nicely on the skin and instantly absorbs, giving the skin a moisturized and soothing feel. The finish is dewy but not greasy. However, the formulation does pill just a touch under makeup so a good primer is required. I like the fact that despite the cheaper price point, there is no compromise on the packaging or formulation. The glass jar feels sturdy and well-made while the cream is right on par with some of Clarins' $50+ moisturizers.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Propanediol, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Hydroxyethylacrylate/Sodium Acryloyldmethy Taurate Copolymer, Mica, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernal Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Xylitylglucoside, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Anhydroxylitol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum/Fragrance, Xylitol, Sodium Hydroxide, Tartaric Acid, Disodium Edta, Glucose, Tamarindus Indica Extract, Marrubium Vulgare Extract, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Citric Acid, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Seed Extract, Furcellaria Lumbricalis Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Lapsana Communis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Maris Sal/Sea Salt/Sel Marin, Ci 14700/Red 4, [V3147a].
Clarins | My Clarins RE-CHARGE Relaxing Sleeping Mask (Left) & RE-BOOST Refreshing Hydrating Cream (Right)
Clarins | My Clarins RE-CHARGE Relaxing Sleep Mask ($29 CAD for 50 ml):
I'm generally not a fan of sleeping masks as they either have an icky, pilly silicone-heavy formulation or a tight, non-flexible finish that just doesn't feel very nourishing for the nighttime. Therefore, this My Clarins RE-CHARGE Relaxing Sleep Mask really took me by surprise. In addition to the coconut water and alpine rose extract found in the previous two products, the mask is infused with extracts of huang qi, fig, and acerola for a nourished and refreshed complexion in the morning. I like how the formulation quickly sinks into the skin, leaving behind a slightly tacky finish that's not tight or silicone-y. The mask actually feels more like a gel moisturizer than a traditional sleeping mask, which I can really get behind. It definitely boosts hydration, making my skin soft and fresh in the morning time.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Betaine, Pentylene Glycol, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Cellulose, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Xylitylglucoside, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Anhydroxylitol, Parfum/Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xylitol, Bisabolol, Disodium Edta, Ppg-5-Ceteth-20, Sodium Hydroxide, Silica, Glucose, Marrubium Vulgare Extract, Citric Acid, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Seed Extract, Furcellaria Lumbricalis Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Engelhardtia Chrysolepis Leaf Extract, Lapsana Communis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Maris Sal/Sea Salt/Sel Marin.

Overall, I'm digging the branding and packaging of the My Clarins Collection. Despite the lower price point, there does not seem to be a noticeable change in the quality of the products. I'm curious to try more items from the range but out of these four, my personal recommendations are the RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel and the RE-CHARGE Relaxing Sleep Mask.
