For Spring 2019,
Dior fully embraces spring trends with new
Lolli'Glow Collection. Full of pastel pinks and baby blues, the collection offers a gorgeous array of colors for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. I've previously reviewed the new
Dior Lip Glow to the Max and am back today with a look at the
5 Couleurs Lolli'Glow Eyeshadow Palettes ($74 CAD for 3 g each) and
DiorSkin Nude Luminizer Lolli'Glow ($54 CAD for 6 g). To see some swatches and reviews, click......
Dior Spring 2019 | 5 Couleurs Lolli'Glow Eyeshadow Palette in "257 Sugar Shade" ($74 CAD for 3 g):
Housed in the classic black and silver 5 Couleurs compact, the Lolli'Glow Eyeshadow Palette in "
257 Sugar Shade" offers a soft, cool-toned color scheme. You get a shimmery baby blue, a shimmery golden coral pink, a satin chocolate brown, a pearlescent white shimmer, and an icy lilac pink. My hopes were not set high as pastel eyeshadows tend to be quite sheer so I was pleasantly surprised with how these performed. Every single shade is silky and pigmented and if you really want the colors to pop, I would recommend using a white cream eyeshadow as a base.
Dior Spring 2019 | 5 Couleurs Lolli'Glow Eyeshadow Palette in "447 Mellow Shade" ($74 CAD for 3 g):
Featuring a soft yellow shimmer, an icy seafoam green, a sheer opalescent shimmer, a satin baby orange, and a sheer granite teal, "
447 Mellow Shade" is the warm-toned counterpart of the "247 Sugar Shade" eyeshadow palette. The overall formulation is comparable but I think the pigmentation is slightly sheerer. With that said, none of the shades are patchy or chalky so I think the lighter pigmentation is intended for a fresh hint of color.
Dior Spring 2019 | DiorSkin Nude Luminizer Lolli'Glow in "08 Pink Delight" ($58 CAD for 6 g):
Housed in a round plastic compact, the DiorSkin Nude Luminizer Lolli'Glow is a pearlescent powder highlighter designed to add a little fun and glow to your makeup. I own many DiorSkin Nude powders released in the past so I noticed the packaging change right away. The previously all-silver compact is replaced with a much lighter version made of a clear acrylic base and a chrome silver coated lid. I think some people may find the new packaging a bit of a downgrade as the original was hefty and luxurious but I much prefer the lighter, more travel-friendly update.
The DiorSkin Nude Luminizer Lolli'Glow is available in two shades and I have here "
08 Pink Delight", an icy pearlescent shimmer. The formulation has a lightweight, baked texture and it's packed to the brim with pink and silver shimmers. The highlighter gives a very sparkly effect; it shows up as pearlescent glitter without much of a base shimmer. I personally prefer a more refined glow (see my all-time favorite highlighter
here), so this isn't quite my cup of tea. However, if you prefer more sparkles in your highlighter or are a collector of DiorSkin Nude powders, then definitely check this out!
