Founded in 1985 in London, Eve Lom is what I consider a niche luxury skincare brand that doesn't get a lot of social media buzz. The range places a heavy emphasis on cleansing and radiance and uses lots of antioxidant-rich ingredients. Recently, I've made my first foray into the brand by trying the Radiance Face Oil ($104 CAD for 30 ml) so I wanted to share my full review with you today. To read on, click......
Packaging:
The Radiance Face Oil from Eve Lom comes in a classy and simple frosted glass bottle. The cap is equipped with a glass dropper for a controlled application. Eve Lom recommends applying two to three drops directly onto the skin immediately after cleansing.
Formulation:
Described as a hydrating and brightening face oil, the Radiance Face Oil is formulated with a plethora of antioxidant-rich oils, botanical extracts, and vitamin C. Some of the key ingredients include hemp seed and avocado oil rich in fatty acids, Abyssian oil (from the mustard plant) with conditioning and smoothing properties, and herbal paracress extract that improves skin firmness.
Because I have oily, combination skin, I tend to have a love/hate relationship with face oils. Most varieties I've tried are usually too heavy and greasy but the Eve Lom Radiance Face Oil strikes a nice balance between quick-drying and intensely nourishing. I personally wouldn't use it for the daytime but the lightly rose-scented formulation spreads easily and absorbs within seconds. A little goes a long way so you really don't need more than two to three drops. I like to mix it with my regular night cream (I am currently on the last pumps of the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, reviewed here) for an extra boost of hydration but the oil provides plenty of hydration all on its own.
I've not noticed any dramatic changes to my skin but I do think the Radiance Face Oil makes my skin look and feel plumper and more glowy in the morning. Overall, the Eve Lom Radiance Face Oil is just lovely! The lightweight formulation absorbs quickly and leaves no discernable residue on the skin. I've not noticed any clogged pores or breakouts with nightly use, so even those with oily skin will appreciate this one!
