Now that's November, I feel like I can finally and unabashedly start sharing with you all the holiday collections lined up in my queue. So today, I have here the
Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 Collection. Inspired by the sights and smells of Paris during Christmastime, the collection steers away from typical gold and sparkly makeup items and focuses on a handful of practical hand and body products that will make the perfect stocking stuffer. Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Silky Hand Cream (Left) & Moisturizing Hand Cream (Right) |
Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Silky Hand Cream & Moisturizing Hand Cream Duo ($30 CAD for 2 x 40 ml):
With two different hand creams sized perfectly for carry-on luggage and application on-the-go, the Paul & Joe Hand Cream Duo comes with the Silky Hand Cream and the Moisturizing Hand Cream. Both are housed in simple squeezable tubes adorned with floral and cat-themed prints inspired by Paul & Joe runway designs. The Silky Hand Cream (red tube) has a lightweight, quick-absorbing formulation made with grapeseed and olive oil. It's nicely moisturizing and leaves behind a lovely fruity floral fragrance. The Moisturizing Hand Cream (cat tube), on the other hand, features a much thicker, heavier formulation made with shea butter in addition to petroleum, olive, and grapeseed oil. The heavier texture is not greasy yet it provides a longer-lasting hydration perfect for the cold winter months. Unlike the Silky Hand Cream, this one does not have a very noticeable scent.

Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Lip Treatment Balm Duo |
Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Lip Treatment Balm Duo ($36 CAD for 2 x 12 g):
Printed with similar designs as those of the Hand Cream Duo, the Lip Treatment Duo consists of two solid lip balms housed in small metal tins. Formulated with olive oil, white lily extract, orange flower extract, and lavender oil, the lip balms appear slightly tinted in the jar but applies completely clear on the lips. The yellow cat design is scented with zesty orange to mimic the smell of a freshly baked stollen while the red floral design smells of mulled wine enjoyed during Christmastime. Paul & Joe actually managed to capture both scents very well as they smell exactly as they are described. Unfortunately, I'm not very fond of the formulation. While moisturizing and lightweight, the balms have a considerably tacky finish that seems to attract every strand of hair to my lips. It's also worth noting that the balms contain peppermint so they feel slightly cooling on the lips.

Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Aromatic Soap |
Paul & Joe Holiday 2018 | Aromatic Soap ($21 CAD for 110 g):
Last but not least is the Aromatic Soap, a beautiful hand and body soap carved with the outline of an adorable kitty cat. The soap comes in a pretty paper storage box lined with a foam insert. The box is fairly sturdy but because it cannot withstand any moisture, it can't be used as a soap dish. Formulated with palm oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, orange flower water, and white lily extract, the soap is described to have an orange flower smell. However, I detect a very strong lavender scent but lavender is nowhere to be found in the ingredients list. I've not actually used the soap under water and because it is so darn cute, I have no intention of ruining the design any time soon.
