Winter is still months away but
Essie has got me looking forward to the colder weather with its brand new
Winter 2018 Collection. Inspired by the "northern lights and the twinkling reflections of the arctic ice", this six-piece range will be available starting mid-November. I've got reviews and close-up swatches of each shade to share with you today. To read on, click......

Essie Winter 2018 | Polarizing:
This is a gorgeous silvery pink shimmer with a subtle teal sheen. The formulation is on the sheerer side but the application is very even and smooth. You can use one coat for a light wash of shimmer that lets the natural nail color shine or you can build it up using two coats as I've done below.

Essie Winter 2018 | Million Mile Hues:
A stunning metallic gold scattered with very subtle green sparkles, Million Mile Hues is slightly sheer upon the first coat but builds up nicely to a mostly opaque finish in two.

Essie Winter 2018 | Glow with the Flow:
A must-have from this collection, Glow with the Flow is a unique periwinkle blue shimmer with a beautiful lavender sheen. The formulation is slightly sheer but opaque and even in two coats.

Essie Winter 2018 | Just the Way You Arctic:
This is a dusty gray-lavender. The formulation is surprisingly pigmented for a shade this light. I used two coats for an opaque and smooth coverage.

Essie Winter 2018 | Hear Me Aurora:
A classic deep oxblood for winter, Hear Me Aurora is pigmented and creamy. Two coats provide a flawless, even coverage with just a hint of translucency.

Essie Winter 2018 | Sights on Nightlights:
This is a very deep plum cream that looks pretty much black when worn on the nails. The formulation is super pigmented and opaque. You can probably get away with just one coat but I used two just in case.
